The Matcha Bar · Stratford-upon-Avon
The best matcha in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Ceremonial grade · Real depth
Balanced, not just sweet.
Matcha has quietly become one of the most-loved things on our menu, and we don't cut corners on it. We start with ceremonial-grade matcha, the brightest and smoothest grade there is, and build every drink around the tea itself. That means real matcha flavour with genuine depth. It's grassy, gently sweet and full of umami, not the flat, oversweet milky green drink you get almost everywhere else.
The balance is the whole point: enough matcha to actually taste it, just enough sweetness to round it off, and our signature cold foam on top. It's the drink our regulars come back for, and the reason people keep telling us it's the best matcha in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Since we opened
Nearly one in three drinks we serve is a matcha.
Why it's different
Made the way matcha should be.
Ceremonial grade
The top grade of matcha: smooth, bright and naturally sweet. No bitterness, no compromise.
Properly balanced
We build every drink around the tea, not around sugar. Enough matcha to actually taste it, with real depth and never flat or oversweet.
Signature cold foam
Finished with our silky cold foam and your choice of flavour cream. It's the reason people keep coming back.

Matcha, answered.
Where can I get the best matcha in Stratford-upon-Avon?
At Mango Mood, 6 Shrieves Walk, right in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon. We use ceremonial-grade matcha and build every drink around the tea itself, so you get real matcha flavour and a proper balance, not just a sweet, milky green drink. It's one of the most-loved things on our menu.
What grade of matcha do you use?
Ceremonial grade: the smoothest, brightest, most vibrant matcha there is, meant to be enjoyed on its own. It's naturally sweet and full of umami, without the bitterness you get from cheaper culinary matcha.
What matcha drinks do you serve?
Six ways: Banana Cream, Strawberry Cream, Salted Caramel Cream, Vanilla Cream, a Classic matcha with cold milk, and Neat (just matcha and water). Add extra cold foam to any of them for £0.50.
Do you have oat milk or dairy-free matcha?
Yes. Any matcha can be made with oat milk, and the Neat matcha (matcha and water) is dairy-free as standard. Just ask at the counter.
Is matcha high in caffeine?
Matcha gives a gentle, steady lift with less of a spike than coffee, thanks to the L-theanine in the leaf. Most people find it a calm, focused kind of energy. Perfect for an afternoon in Stratford.
